Prince Dr. Peter Omonlumen Okojie was born on October 21, 1962, in Uromi, Edo State, Nigeria, to Prince Augustine Eselebor Okojie and Princess Angela Ohenhenmhen Okojie of the Uromi Royal Kingdom. Despite having no formal educational training, his parents recognized the value of education from Prince Augustine’s brief experience working at John Holt’s company in Lagos. They championed the importance of education, encouraging their children to start schooling early.

Dr. Peter Okojie began his education at St. Anthony’s Catholic Primary School in Uromi and later attended Ishan Grammar School for Forms 1 and 2. He continued his education at Annunciation Catholic College in Irrua, graduating in 1979. He then pursued a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Surveying at Auchi Polytechnic. In 1987, he relocated to the United States, where he discovered a passion for healthcare, transitioning from surveying to nursing, and eventually earning a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Howard University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Okojie worked in various sectors of the pharmaceutical industry, including retail, long-term care, and hospitals. In 2004, he opened his first retail pharmacy in Baltimore, Maryland, and has since established several locations in the DC/MD area. He also serves as Chairman of Goodcare Industrial Farms in Oria, Edo State, contributing to the community through mechanized farming and cassava processing, which provides employment and supports local farmers.

Dr. Okojie is a dedicated philanthropist and community leader. He is involved with the Mercy Foundation, providing medical treatment to the underprivileged in Esanland, and supports Chess Orphanage Home. He has facilitated the provision of clean water through boreholes and offers scholarships to first-generation college students. A lifelong Roman Catholic, he actively supports St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Uromi and other religious initiatives. Dr. Okojie is happily married to Princess Vivian Imade Okojie, and they have four children and one son-in-law.
